This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all paid services provided by Plagaiscans Technologies Ltd, trading as Thesis Elite. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
We aim to be transparent and fair. The refund eligibility you are entitled to depends on when you cancel and how much work has been completed.
1. Full refund — within 24 hours and before editor assignment
You are entitled to a full refund of the price paid if you cancel:
- within 24 hours of order placement, and
- before an editor has been formally assigned to your project.
2. Partial refund — after editor assignment but before delivery
If you cancel after an editor has been assigned but before delivery, refunds are calculated as follows:
- 0–25 % of work completed: 75 % refund of the price paid.
- 26–50 % of work completed: 50 % refund of the price paid.
- 51–75 % of work completed: 25 % refund of the price paid.
- 76–100 % of work completed: no refund payable; the completed work will be delivered.
The percentage of work completed is determined by us in good faith, based on the editor's time logs and the deliverables produced. You will be provided with a written summary on request.
3. After delivery — quality concerns
If you are dissatisfied with the delivered work, please raise the issue within 14 calendar days of delivery. We will acknowledge your concern within 2 business days and provide a written resolution decision within 10 business days of acknowledgement. Our response will:
- offer a free revision where the work is shown to fall below the agreed scope;
- offer a partial or full refund where revision is not possible or appropriate;
- where a refund is approved, processing follows the timelines in section 6 below.
4. Non-refundable scenarios
Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:
- The completed work is rejected by a journal, conference, examiner, or patent office. Editorial decisions by third parties are outside our control.
- You change your mind after the deliverable has been provided in full.
- The order is terminated by us for breach of our Acceptable Use Policy or Refusal of Service Policy.
- You requested a service that we expressly stated would not guarantee a particular outcome.
5. How to request a refund
- Email support@thesiselite.com from the email address used to place the order.
- Quote your order number and the reason for the request.
- We will acknowledge within 2 business days and provide a written decision within 10 business days.
6. Refund processing time
Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days from the date of approval. The time it then takes for funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer.
7. Chargebacks
If you have a concern about a charge, please email support@thesiselite.com first — we acknowledge billing queries within 1 business day and are committed to resolving issues directly. Where a chargeback is raised against an order delivered in line with the agreed scope, we will provide our payment processor (Stripe or Airwallex) with the order documentation, communications, and delivery evidence in defence of the dispute.
8. Currency and bank fees
Refunds are made in the original payment currency. We are not responsible for any differences arising from currency conversion or bank fees applied by your card issuer.
9. Statutory rights
Nothing in this Policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
