These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer", "you") and Plagaiscans Technologies Ltd, trading as Thesis Elite("we", "us", "our"), a private limited company registered in England & Wales, Companies House registration number 16998013. By placing an order or using our website, you accept these Terms in full.

1. Scope of services

Thesis Elite provides editorial, advisory, language-improvement, and research-support services to scholars, students, researchers, and academic institutions. Our services include thesis and dissertation editing, proofreading, English-language editing, journal publication advisory, manuscript formatting, response-to-reviewer assistance, research methodology consultancy, and editorial support for patent specifications.

We do not write academic work for customers to submit as their own, take examinations, complete coursework, or perform any service that would breach the academic integrity policy of any institution. Please see our Acceptable Use Policy and Refusal of Service Policy.

2. Ordering and acceptance

  1. You submit an enquiry or order through our website.
  2. We provide a written quotation including price, scope, and turnaround.
  3. The contract is formed when you accept the quotation and pay the agreed fee.
  4. We reserve the right to decline any order, in our sole discretion, before the contract is formed.

3. Fees, currencies, and VAT

Prices are quoted in GBP unless otherwise stated. We accept payment in GBP, USD, EUR, AUD, and INR via Stripe and Airwallex. Quoted prices are exclusive of UK VAT, which will be added at the prevailing rate where applicable. Payment is due in full prior to commencement of work unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

4. Delivery

We will deliver the agreed work by the agreed deadline. Where delivery is delayed by causes outside our reasonable control (force majeure), we will notify you promptly and agree a revised timeline.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation and refund rights are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

You retain all intellectual property rights in any document you submit and in any work product we deliver to you under these Terms. We assert no ownership over your manuscripts, theses, or research outputs. We retain ownership of our pre-existing materials, templates, style guides, and methodologies. By submitting a document, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access, process, and edit it solely for the purpose of providing the requested service.

7. Confidentiality

We treat all documents and communications as strictly confidential. All editors and consultants are bound by non-disclosure agreements. Documents are not shared with any third party other than the named sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy and are not used to train artificial-intelligence models. See our Confidentiality & Data Handling Policy.

8. Customer responsibilities

  • You confirm that any document you submit is your own original work.
  • You will provide accurate briefs, source material, and contact information.
  • You remain the submitting and corresponding author for any journal or institutional submission.
  • You will comply with all applicable academic integrity rules of your institution and target publisher.

9. Disclaimers

Our services are advisory and editorial in nature. We do not guarantee:

  • acceptance of a manuscript by any journal, conference, or publisher;
  • any specific grade, mark, or examination outcome;
  • the grant of any patent or other intellectual-property right;
  • any specific score or result from any third-party tool, including similarity or AI-detection tools.

Editorial decisions made by journals, examiners, and patent offices are entirely outside our control. See our Disclaimer for further detail.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the specific order to which the claim relates. We are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential losses, loss of profits, loss of business, or loss of opportunity. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate services with immediate effect if you breach these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or our Refusal of Service Policy. In case of termination for cause, no refund is payable in respect of work already performed.

12. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with our service, please follow the process set out in our Complaints Procedure. We aim to resolve all complaints fairly and promptly.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Amendments take effect from the date of publication on our website. Orders placed before the amendment date are governed by the Terms in force at the time of order.
